THE READING NOOK
A Show of Zines, Artist Books and Multiples

As an art form, the book or zine format offers an accessible, tactile and inexpensive way to experience and share visual culture. Working within illustration, painting, graphic design, printmaking, textiles, collage and photography, handmade book multiples allow artists from different backgrounds to experiment and connect on a wider level, both within the artistic community and beyond. The Reading Nook showcases over 40 artists from diverse backgrounds who create multiples through the medium of books or zines as part of their practice. Alongside The Reading Nook installation, original artwork by Andrew Zukerman, Alexandra McKenzie, Daniel Luedtke, Ella Selbie, Eunice Luk, Ginette Lapalme, Jessalyn Aaland, Jesjit Gill, Matt King, Paul Morgan, Randy Gagne, and Seripop will be on exhibition in the gallery.
